Guides
Written for operators deciding what to connect.
These guides explain how the sales channels actually work, what they require of the system that answers them, and what each way of connecting costs you. They are meant to be useful whether or not you ever connect anything through RezRoute.
What these are for
Checkable, rather than persuasive.
Most of what an operator reads about channel connectivity is written to sell something. These guides are written to be checked. Where a figure appears, it is one of the channels' own published requirements, and it is attributed to the channel that set it.
Nothing here requires you to use this service. Where a guide says where RezRoute fits, it says so in a section of its own that you can skip, and everything around that section holds true whichever way you decide to connect.
Every guide carries a byline and the date it was last read against the channels' published documentation. Channel requirements change, and an article nobody has re-read since it was written is worth less than one that has been. GetYourGuide requires at least 30 days of notice for changes that affect connectivity, so the figures in these guides usually change with some warning rather than overnight.
If something here is out of date or wrong, write to connectivity@rezroute.com and it will be corrected rather than quietly left.

Every guide, and where to start.
- How to connect your tours to GetYourGuide and Viator without paying for a reservation systemThe three routes onto the channels, what each one costs in money and in attention, and the channel requirements that decide which are open to you./guides/connect-to-getyourguide-and-viator-without-a-reservation-system
- What a connectivity partner actually does in the GetYourGuide and Viator booking flowThe sequence of calls behind a channel booking, and which system is expected to answer each one./guides/what-a-connectivity-partner-does
- Do you need a reservation system to sell on Viator? The short answer is no, and the longer answer is what a connection changes: the pricing constraint, the refresh cadence, and the requirement that applies to the system rather than to you./guides/do-you-need-a-reservation-system-for-viator
- Selling on both GetYourGuide and Viator: how operators get double-booked and what prevents itWhy a copied calendar sells the last seat twice, and what has to be true of a system for that to be impossible rather than unlikely./guides/double-booked-across-two-otas
- A glossary of OTA connectivity termsPlain definitions for the vocabulary that turns up in channel documents and vendor calls, from allocation to error ceiling./guides/glossary
If the vocabulary is the problem rather than the decision, read the glossary first. The other guides assume the words in it.
